HHS Provider Relief Fund Reporting Window Reopened Until Monday, Dec. 20, 2021

If you are a provider who was required to submit a report to HRSA, and you missed the deadline to submit reports, or would like to make a correction to the report you initially submitted, you now have a second, and likely final, chance to do that. However, that second chance won’t last long. The reporting portal has been re-opened by HRSA, but it will only remain open until December 20th. The statement on their website (https://prfreporting.hrsa.gov/s/) reads:

“The Reporting Portal will be open for the completion or submission of reports for Reporting Period 1 until December 20, 2021 at 11:59 pm ET. PRF recipients who submitted a Reporting Period 1 report, but need to correct an error must contact the Provider Support Line (866-569-3522) to gain access to their submitted report. Resubmitted reports must also be received by December 20, 2021 at 11:59 pm ET. Reporting Period 2 will begin on January 1, 2022. For additional information about PRF reporting, visit https://www.hrsa.gov/provider-relief.”

Providers who received more that $10,000 in TOTAL payments from the Provider Relief Fund between April, 10, 2020 and June 30, 2020 were initially required to submit a report by September 30, 2021 stating how the money was used. HRSA later added a 60 day grace period, allowing providers to submit those initial reports until November 30th, when the portal officially closed. The reopening of the portal now gives providers one (likely) final chance to submit or change their report. Any provider who received $10,000 or more during a reporting period and does not submit a report outlining how the funds were used will be considered out of compliance with the program and will be forced to return the money they received. If that reporting requirement applies to you, and you have not submitted your report, you need to do that immediately, or you will risk forfeiting the money you received from the program, and you may not be eligible for future payments available through the PRF program.

Providers who have not reported, but were required to report in Reporting Period 1:

  • You are out of compliance with the PRF Terms and Conditions and must return your PRF payment(s) to HRSA
  • Non-compliant providers will be excluded from receiving and/or retaining future PRF payments – including any applicable Phase 4 payments
  • HRSA will seek repayment on all PRF payments received between April 10, 2020 - June 30, 2020 and not reported on during Reporting Period 1
