Great Meetings In The Northwest With PAMES Members This Week

Yesterday PAMES (Pacific Association of Medical Equipment Suppliers) members met with the offices of Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-WA) and Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA) in their Seattle offices.

PAMES representatives included President Paul Sabin and John Williams both of Norco. Joe Campbell, Tammy Kvinsland, Kristine Hurt and Amber Lacheney of Olympic Pharmacy.  Amy Adams and Michael Bednarksi of McKesson. And John Gallagher of VGM

Conversations included a senate companion to H.R.2771-Protecting Home Oxygen and Medical Equipment Act as well as the recently released bill, H.R.4945, (SMART) bill that delay the inclusion of ventilators to the competitive bidding program.

The group was able to meet with the staff in the Seattle offices as well as conference in the Health Staff in Washington D.C.

These are key senators as Sen. Patty Murray is ranking member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pension Committee (H.E.L.P.) and Sen. Cantwell has a seat on the powerful Senate Finance Committee. Both senators’ support is important in moving any healthcare legislation.

These meetings followed another important meeting with Sen. Wyden’s office on Tuesday, as we reported earlier this week.

Great work PAMES!
